Haffendi Anuar (born 1985) is a young artist working in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He produces sculptural objects, collages, drawings and paintings made from found objects indigenous to the area where he currently resides and studies the affects of the material's poetic and tactile qualities on human life, the environment and culture. He scouts hardware-stores, grocery-marts, thrift-stores and roadsides for media to manipulate. His objects called "sponges" absorb the mood, aura, culture and environment of the artist's daily experience.
